  • This place only sells one item, fish rice. There were a few slices of fish on top of the rice. On the table there was instruction about how to eat the rice. The staff also told us how to eat it. Personally speaking, the rice wasn’t tasted much of fish flavour and the whole thing was very light, but it tasted better the more I ate. There was more rice than fish. I would just go for the fish next time if I want to try this special fish again.

  • Small but clean and Nice place with around 7 bar senats available, went for breakfast around 9:00 and had their special (which I forgot the name of). It took a while to prepare (20 mins) but it was very good! Two people working behind the counter, they have English available upon request. Very sweet people :)) would definitely recommend if you are 1-2 people, larger groups may find it hard to find seating next to each other.

  • This is a kamamesuhi specialty store inside omicho market, which is one of my favorite japanese dish. They have nodoguro on top of a bed of fluffy rice, cooked with a iron pot to keep the flavor within the pot of rice. The fish is really fresh with a nice texture and light taste. You can choose to eat it several ways including adding dashi and various toppings provided, which changes the taste slightly and is fun to try. This is a very hearty and satisfying meal. Sometimes, they also have seasonal ingredients in addition to the regular menu.

  • I went to Kanazawa and while looking for a restaurant, I happened to come across this restaurant. That day, there was only one menu, Kama meshi, so I tried ordering it. UT should wait for 30 minutes, during waiting for food seeing the sign explaining how to eat, I just realized that I found a recommended dish. When the food was served, I ate it as recommended. It was very delicious.

  • A specialty restaurant that only serves one dish..... the Nodoguro set menu at 3300 yen, approx $40 Australian. Nodoguro is Blackthroat Seaperch, a delicacy that is difficult to find and an overall expensive fish. It is serves here in a set menu with Salmon Roe and Dashi soup. It was a nice experience for probably the only time I'll have this fish, but I suspect you'd have to be a true aficionado to truly appreciate the excellent and exclusive nature. Sometimes you just want fried chicken, and that's not this place P.S. some of the photos are from.the market that the place sits in

  • Came here using the breakfast ticket from our hotel, and it was a great choice. I upgraded for an extra 1,000 yen to the seasonal blackthroat seaperch clay pot rice set, and it was totally worth it. The fish was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the clay pot rice was fragrant and comforting. Excellent quality for the price — highly recommended if you have the upgrade option.
